Subtle vs. flashy: what to wear?

Prom dresses are as varied as there are people attending the prom. The choice of the dress, whether it is to be flashy or subtle, is the choice of the wearer. Most people think that for proms flashy dresses do not work because you do not want to bring unnecessary attention to yourself and you do not want to cause any embarrassment to your date. Your personality is the biggest determinant of the prom dresses that you would prefer and at the end of the day it is your choice. For those who are more talkative and are looking to find a mate in the crowd, the flashy dresses are a good choice for them but not for those who already have a date and are just looking to have a good time. If you decide to go with the flashy prom dresses, you have to make sure that they are also accompanied by accessories that are as flashy as they are. If you do not do this, then your whole attire will be mismatched and you may not get as much attention as you wished for when you wore the dress.  Subtle and good looking still remains the best choice for most people
